In Germany, the Ventis Pro5 will now be listed as an approved device by the Berufsgenossenschaft Rohstoffe und Chemische Industrie (BG RCI). The BG RCI is the mutual community for worker health safety that sets the standards for owning gas detectors in chemicals, natural resources industries, and beyond.
Being included on the BG RCI’s list of approved devices indicates that the Ventis Pro5 has been rigorously tested and meets the safety and quality standards set by the German regulatory community consisting of customers, notified bodies, manufacturers, and service providers. This listing certifies that the Ventis Pro5 is a reliable, safe, and compliant product. Customers can be sure that a BG RCI listed product, including their gas detection fleet, helps them to meet required safety standards. This listing ensures compliance with the German implementation of the European Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX). While a requirement in Germany, Industrial Scientific will maintain this level of certification for the Ventis Pro5 in the rest of Europe, as well as the world, to ensure workers are using the highest-quality monitors available.
