Industrial Scientific Appoints Andreas Schmid as Vice President of Product & Technology

Andreas Schmid, formerly of JLL Technologies and PNC Bank, joins the Industrial Scientific leadership team.

Industrial Scientific, a global leader and innovator in gas detection and safety technologies that automate critical safety and operational risk workflows, is pleased to announce that Mr. Andreas Schmid has joined the company as vice president of product and technology. Mr. Schmid will be responsible for the alignment of Industrial Scientific’s product and engineering teams, as well as the execution of the company’s global technology strategy.

Mr. Schmid joins Industrial Scientific from JLL Technologies, where he served as the vice president of engineering. Prior to that, he held multiple roles at PNC Bank including senior vice president of product management.

Mr. Schmid holds an Honors Degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management in Munich, Germany, as well as a Master of Science in Computer Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. He was also a PhD candidate at the Technical University of Munich and spent time as a visiting researcher and scholar at the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley.
